The medieval fair of Herzegovina
The Stolačka Tarča is a medieval fair, the only one of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The organizers of the fair are Public Company Radimlja and the municipality of Stolac. It has been held since 2015, every year beginning of May, in the old town of Vidosko above Stolac, the national monument of BiH whose revitalization is one of the main goals of the organizers of the fair. The fair was attended by knight groups from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary and Slovakia, and every year the Defense of the Duke of the City is staged. Archery, fencing, ceramics, etc. workshops are available to visitors, medieval and renaissance dances and performances are displayed. The cultural and entertaining event attracts more and more knights from different countries every year. There is a growing number of (knights) as well as domestic volunteers (roles of lepers, guards, jailers, prisoners). Every year more and more visitors are recorded, as well as guests from abroad, whose number exceeds several thousand. The fair became a brand of Stolac and the entire Herceg country.
